I was able to fit a 18 pinion gear, and had no problems it's fast...But the rc8x has so many features to control it...the gyro, and traction control helps with speed and steering great for kids.

Do you need to change the gearing ⚙️ with these Tires?

Question for you regarding gearing... we have one of the ARR coming for teack ise, 2s , and woll be getting either a 6.5t 540 seonsored motor, or a tekin Pro2 5100kv or 5800kv. Any input for gearing for something like that? Don't really wanna buy like 40-45$ in pinions to try out. I'm thinking start with the RTR gearing maybe... shooting for top speed of roughly 35mph or so. Which motor do you think you'd go with?

When I want full RC car power I go to this . Otherwise it’s large and loud . Always sounds like something is broke but it’s not , lol . She’s just loud and cranky 😂.

My MT10 stock motor is overheating on 2s (too hot to touch), is this normal?

I've just got the MT10 for youngest grandson who's 5 month old 😂. Start them early. I've found it hard to find a metal spur gear any idea's on where or part number ?. Thanks for the diff oil tips great video as always mate 👍 😂

If you like this you should try the SC10 pro 4. Same truck but short course style and even tougher.

Man I have never played with a team associated car. I love the way they look and seem to be tuff as hell. Definitely one of the next rc’s im thinking about getting.

For diff oils, I use 50k, 100k, 10k and after replacing the garbage woobly flimsy wheels it handles like a dream😂

I like the Team Associated version but the Helion had better Trencher copy wheels and the body was tougher. Looks awesome with the new wheels.

It is a great truck. After a few bashes the caps on the wheels fell off any way. 😂 after a couple of years my truck is still going with a new esc and motor and a couple of replacement parts. But most of the motor replacement was my fault slamming into the back of my trailer broke the motor shaft 😂

This is a great little truck. I'm not sure i know anyone who has one and isn't happy. It's not the biggest, fastest, or best handling but it does everything good. It's a hard decision for me been this and the Omni Terminator which is my favorite small 3s rig.

Kevin talbot beat the hell out of this thing at a skate park and it took everything he through at it and he was trying to break it and it still kept going! Definitely thinking about getting one

Truck looks like it did great! I agree with you on how some influencers push everything as great and stick to mainly one brand. You do a bit of every brand, That’s why I like your channel and is what I plan on doing if my channel ever takes off 😂

110F in Florida, fans on every RC I own. My temp. Gun is my best friend. Mine has stock fluid in diffs, and I hate wheelies!! So I am going to drain all three diffs, and try your fluid recommends!! Great video thank you!

Awesome video as always...Can you do an update video on your Radiolink RC8X and tell us how you like it compared to others and how the receivers are and the range and speed of the unit and how you like or dislike the menus. I would love to hear an update about it.

Been running this rig since release and no issues here. Too many users are over complicating this rig. Just run it for what it is. A SCT. I primarily run it through a short course dirt track and it does just fine. Have upgraded further and it’s beast.

I believe I saw that some people drill out the shocks a little to keep them from blowing out. I have also recently picked up the mt8 as well and of course it's still sitting in it's box, because I want to go over it also, but I also bought a redcat machete 4s back when they were on sale. ( Which is also sitting on the shelf untouched) But I'm kind of hoping I'll be able to do a power system swap.

It's not a basher... Stupid to think it is. I run it on 4s with the sway bars and it a Blast.

I've had mine since the day it was released, at first wasn't happy, but once you replace the arms or all plastics from the chasis out. It's a beast, especially for 350$! Glad to see others have it

Shock internals are pants and they do break. The c clip inside comes off and you have to replace it and all the fluid. When you pop the clip and replace it. It will just keep happening. I installed Arrma internals and solved the problem.

I ripped all the wiring out. Mainly because I cut through the rear wires when I damaged the wheelie bar ha ha

The upgrade pack has nothing to do with the change of shell livery. I have had both livery’s and for the service pack in both 👍

I cant decide on getting this or an arrma kraton/outcast 4s. Leaning towards arrma. Any input from anyone?

the teal version as far as i can tell in the US comes with a lipo and charger - hence the higher price.

MT8 is a beast. Alu Hubs, Kaiju (service pack) arms and 5mm Arrma turnbuckles and you’re about done brother! 🎉

I had wanted to get one of these for a while. Like you said it ticks all the right boxes. My experience even going into it with my eyes open, is kinda meh. The plastics are just too brittle. I tried it with the original arms just to see how they were, those were terrible, got rpm arms then the hubs broke which aren't in the pack. I got kaiju parts, then the Ackerman broke. It got too hot out here to run since I got the parts and repaired it, so I can't say if it's all fixed. I couldn't imagine having paid full price and going through this. For what I paid 299 I'm still annoyed but a little more tolerant.

Nice video, same with MT10 video :) Been looking into this even with all the negative reviews as I think MT8 is a better size than MT10. I have an MT10 and it feels a bit small. I also have a Stampede Bl-2s (with 4s combo) and that one is more solid than MT10 for me. Kind of funny as MT10 is regarded THE tank... I have popped a shock and one of the turnbuckles or links keep popping off all the time... Same one, constantly. Looking forward to a running video of the MT8 to see if your upgrades make this a good buy!
